Aller Fight contains a patented blend of extracts of Capparis spinosa, Olea europeae, Ribes nigrum and Panax ginseng (Pantescal). Extracts of Capparis spinosa, Olea europeae, Ribes nigrum and Panax ginseng act synergistically to boost the defences of allergy-sufferers, minimising symptoms caused by the main allergens (food, chemicals, pollen or dust).

¤ Capparis spinosa extract (caper extract), is rich in flavonoids including quercetin and kaempferol derivatives as well as hydroxycinnamic acids (caffeic acid, ferulic acid, p-cumaric acid and cinnamic acid) – all potent antioxidants with additional anti-inflammatory activity.

¤ Allergy symptoms (sneezing, runny or stuffy nose… red, watering eyes… in the case of respiratory allergies), are set off when the immune system comes into contact with an allergen (pollen, animal fur, dust mite or food protein) sparking a cascade of events which culminates in the release of histamine by immune cells called mastocytes.

¤ Skin-prick tests on volunteers given histamine have demonstrated the anti-histaminic properties of the active principles in Capparis spinosa extract.

¤ The addition of Olea europeae, Ribes nigrum and Panax ginseng extracts boosts the anti-allergy activity of Capparis spinosa extract. Studies suggest that:

• ginseng and Ribes nigrum strengthen the stability of the physiological cell membrane, making membrane degranulation more difficult.
• Olea europeae extract has pain-relieving and antioxidant properties.

¤ In a clinical study, Pantescal supplementation reduced allergy biomarkers, leading researchers to hypothesise that stabilisation of cell membranes may be the principal mechanism behind the protective effect of Pantescal against allergy biomarkers.

¤ A study of 40 volunteers showed that the efficacy of Pantescal was comparable to that of cetirizin – an anti-histamine drug widely used to treat allergy symptoms - in the case of breathing allergies, and superior in the case of food-induced allergies. Both inhibited the release of histamine and its associated symptoms. The study showed 75-80% efficacy against pollen-induced allergies and 75-90% efficacy against food-induced allergies (with a 75% decrease in histamine release in both cases).
