It's true! Now you can restore your hair's original colour thanks to a natural biochemical process that's gentle and risk-free. This process does not claim to substitute that of melanin production, nor does it involve ingesting or applying anything containing lead salts - toxic metals by virtue of their build-up and diffusion in the skin, and found in many products on the market.

¤ The mechanism which makes hair go grey, though not necessarily genetic, is determined by a particular enzyme called catalase which, when in short supply or absent, induces the hair-greying process. What causes this phenomenon? Hydrogen peroxide (H202) or oxygenated water, naturally present in the body, gradually destroys the pigment melanin, which is responsible for the colour of our skin and hair.

¤ Catalase - which is produced by the body but can also be obtained from dietary plant sources - counteracts this reaction.

¤ It splits the hydrogen peroxide molecule into water and oxygen, destroying and eliminating it. As we get older, however, our levels of catalase fall and this ‘clean-up' action becomes much slower, increasing the number of oxygenated water molecules circulating and thus the percentage of grey and white hair.

¤ It's reasonable to assume, therefore, that adding catalase to the diet might play a significant role in stopping or reversing this process.
