Pomegranate extract (Punica granatum) is particularly rich in powerful polyphenolic antioxidants: the punicalagins, punicaline and ellagic acid which make up the group of punicosides. These polyphenolic antioxidants give pomegranate extract properties which:

¤ are beneficial for cardiovascular health. Studies have shown that supplementing with pomegranate extract slows down the development of atherosclerosis, lowers systolic blood pressure and improves the lipid profile, also reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease;

¤ inhibit some of the harmful effects of the sun's rays;

¤ promote regeneration and healing of the skin.

Preliminary studies suggest that pomegranate extract could have a beneficial effect against certain cancers, particularly in slowing the growth of cancerous cells. Studies have also shown that pomegranate extract has anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects.

Take two to three capsules a day as required, or as advised by your therapist.
