Tribulus terrestris has been used in India for millions of years to deal with problems of impotence, frigidity and sterility. The first modern clinical studies on Tribulus terrestris were conducted at the Institutes of Endocrinology and Gynaecology of Bulgaria, and were confirmed by studies carried out later on in the USA. Supplementation in Tribulus allows a 30% increase in the production of testosterone and thus stimulates male libido. A clear improvement in female libido was also noted (by mechanisms still not clearly elucidated). A positive influence on the quality and the duration of erections, on spermatogenesis and ovulation was also noted.
