Buy Super Shilajit, an Ayurvedic supplement with multiple benefits

Super Shilajit 250mg is a stimulating dietary supplement developed from patented purified shilajit.
Drawing on its age-old use and medicinal properties as recorded by many systems of traditional medicine, Supersmart is pleased to offer a purified shilajit extract standardised to 60% fulvic acids and 10% DBP-chromoproteins to maximise its effects.

What exactly is shilajit?

Shilajit is an exudate which seeps out of certain mountain rocks, particularly those that make up the Himalayas. It is primarily composed of humic substances (humus and paleo-humus) as well as various plant and microbial metabolites typical of the rock rhizosphere, the region of soil formed and influenced by the root microbiome. It’s also found to a lesser extent in Tibet, Russia and Norway, always at altitudes above 1000 metres. It has a distinctive bitter taste, and acrid, fermented smell (1).

Among the four existing varieties of shilajit – savrana, rajat, tamra and lauha – it is the latter which appears to be the most effective from various therapeutic perspectives (2).

Where does shilajit come from?

Scientists believe that certain succulents, bryophytes and dicotyledons, such as white clover, may be responsible for its formation (3). It’s said that shilajit was rediscovered by Himalayan villagers who had observed large monkeys migrating to the mountains during the warm summer months, where they would chew on a soft substance seeping out of the rock layers. These local populations quickly attributed the monkeys’ strength and longevity to this substance and introduced it into their own pharmacopoeia.

What are the traditionally-recognised benefits of shilajit?

It has been used as a regenerative agent and an adaptogen for more than 3000 years (4), especially by the Vaidyas and Hakims. Its integration into several respected traditional systems of medicine has been attracting scientific interest for around 20 years, and a good number of the many beneficial properties attributed to it have been validated by research (5-6).

In-depth studies have been conducted in parallel to determine the exact composition of shilajit. Benzoic acid, hippuric acid, resin, gum and albuminoids have all been shown to be its main constituents, though it’s likely to be the presence of dibenzo-beta-pyrones (DBP), fulvic acids and humic acids which is responsible for the effects described by users and the literature.

Who should take Super Shilajit?

Super Shilajit is a powerful tonic which is particularly suitable for the following groups of people:

  • Those over 50 (in whom immune system efficacy and fitness status tend to decline);
  • Adults who are not sufficiently active;
  • Adults on a weight-loss diet;
  • Those who feel constantly tired;
  • Those who feel like they’re often ill;
  • Those lacking in energy;
  • Those who don’t eat a balanced diet.

Five reasons to try Super Shilajit

  1. Shilajit is one of Eastern medicine’s most famous tonics.
  2. Super Shilajit is standardised to 60% fulvic acids, 10% dibenzo-alpha-pyrone chromoproteins, and 0.3% dibenzo-alpha-pyrones, its three most active substances.
  3. Super Shilajit is a patented (PrimaVie®) purified shilajit supplement, produced in accordance with the strictest safety standards.
  4. It is based on a natural substance, used traditionally by people to feel fit and healthy and enable their bodies to function optimally.
  5. As shown by scientific research, shilajit in its natural form is often contaminated with impurities such as mycotoxins (produced by poisonous mushrooms), heavy metals and polymeric quinones. It must therefore be purified, as is the case with Super Shilajit, so that its benefits can be enjoyed in complete safety.

How should Super Shilajit be taken on a daily basis?

The recommended dose is two capsules a day, to be taken with food.

It can be combined with the following supplements:

  • Coenzyme Q10 30 mg, to stimulate mitochondrial energy, as shilajit is able to increase the bioavailability of coenzyme Q10.
  • Adaptix, an exceptional combination of eight adaptogen plants to stimulate the mind and body.
  • Daily 3, the ‘must-take’ supplement for rebooting and energising your whole body in just a few days.

Note: Super Shilajit is contraindicated in those with kidney stones.
