Multimineral Complex is a supplement containing minerals in their most bioavailable forms and at the optimal doses demonstrated in the latest scientific data. It also contains two forms of magnesium which reduce fatigue, zinc which supports normal immune system function, and ingredients which enhance their absorption such as Bioperine®.

What do minerals do in the body?

Minerals are micronutrients from rocks which play fundamental roles in the body: they control cardiac activity, regulate the circulation, maintain tissues like the skin and nails, support brain function ... The roles vary depending on the type of mineral.

In theory, all the minerals we need are present in our diet, but in reality, deficiencies are increasingly common due to the rise in consumption of junk food. A lack of minerals usually results in deficiencies in other micronutrients such as vitamins. Iron, for example, promotes the absorption of vitamin B12, and phosphorus improves the bioavailability of vitamin B6, two vitamins in which deficiencies are common.

What is in Multimineral Complex?

Multimineral Complex contains several minerals and trace-elements.

  • Magnesium, in two optimal forms (aspartate and citrate). Magnesium supports normal energy metabolism and nervous system function, helps to reduce fatigue, and plays a role in maintaining healthy bones and teeth as well as muscle function.
  • Calcium, in the form of glycate, which supports normal digestive enzyme function and neurotransmission. It also helps to reduce bone mineral loss in post-menopausal women aged 50 and over.
  • Potassium, which helps maintain normal blood pressure and supports healthy nervous system and muscle function. Recommended by the WHO for lowering blood pressure in those with hypertension, it helps bring the sodium:potassium ratio closer to 1:1, the figure considered beneficial for health.
  • Zinc, which, in particular, supports normal DNA synthesis and protects cells against oxidative stress.
  • Silicon, which helps to bind calcium and combat bone demineralisation. It also plays a role in structuring the skin, hair and nails.
  • Selenium, boron (FruiteX-B®), molybdenum (in two forms), iodine, vanadium and chromium, trace-elements which are all essential (at low levels) for good health.

At the same time, it contains elements that support the optimal absorption of all these substances:

  • Vitamin D3 (100IU), which aids absorption of calcium and phosphorus.
  • Digestive enzymes (lipase, protease, amylase).
  • Extract of ginger (standardised to 5% gingerols), which also contains manganese, phosphorus and magnesium.

What are the latest scientific news regarding minerals?

The scientific community is very interested in the benefits of minerals and their precise role in the body. Here are five recent discoveries on the subject.

  1. Around 10% of cases of coronary heart disease in middle-aged people (aged between 50 and 60) could be avoided by preventing iron deficiencies, according to a study published in October 2021 in ESC Heart Failure, the journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) (1).
  2. Blood levels of magnesium are an important factor in the immune system’s ability to fight pathogens. Researchers have shown that our T cells need adequate magnesium levels in order to function properly (2).
  3. Zinc may play a critical role in regulating communication between brain cells, especially by controlling memory consolidation, according to a study published in September 2021 in the journal Neuron (3).
  4. In July 2021, researchers showed that calcium plays a key role when the brain lacks energy, by relaxing or contracting capillaries to supply specific areas of the brain with nutrients (4).
  5. Vitamin D, which supports normal immune system function, cannot be metabolised properly if magnesium levels are too low, which is thought to be the case for half of all people in the West (5).
How should our supplement be taken?

We recommend taking one capsule three times a day or as advised by your therapist.

If you need advice on vitamin or mineral supplements, we recommend this video by Hélène Tinguely, our consultant nutritionist: Why take a multivitamin and how do you choose the right one?

Depending on your needs, you may also be interested in the famous supplement Daily 3, which contains numerous vitamins and phytonutrients as well as minerals, or the supplement Daily Booster, a concentrate of micronutrients that is the perfect complement to MultiMineral Complex.

Alongside supplementation, it’s also important to eat a more balanced diet: mineral supplements should complement, rather than replace, the minerals provided by your diet.

This product is good , however I find it overpriced.

Superb for supplementing the daily shortages.
