N-Acetyl Cysteine is a supplement containing N-acetylcysteine (NAC), a modified form of the amino acid cysteine.

What is N-acetylcysteine (NAC)?

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is a derivative of cysteine.

More stable and better tolerated, it is often preferred to cysteine itself for oral administration.

Once ingested, NAC is easily converted into cysteine. Remember that this amino acid is, in particular, used for the endogenous production of glutathione, levels of which decline with age.

Glutathione is actually a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: glutamic acid, glycine and the famous cysteine.

N-acetylcysteine is officially recognised by the WHO for its effects on human health.

N-Acetyl Cysteine: a perfectly-dosed formulation

Our product comes in the form of vegetarian capsules, each of which contains 600mg of N-acetylcysteine.

Though the dose can vary depending on individual need, 1 to 3 capsules a day is generally the amount recommended.

Taking vitamin C at the same time can also be beneficial in helping to protect your cells against oxidative stress. If in doubt, seek advice from a health professional.

Lo prendo per contrastare gli effetti collaterali del paracetamolo, che uso come antidolorifico insieme ad antinfiammatori. Dovrebbe favorire la produzione di glutatione, che il paracetamolo inibisce.

I take it to counteract the side effects of paracetamol, which I use as a painkiller along with anti-inflammatories. It should promote the production of glutathione, which paracetamol inhibits.
