Any questions?

Bacillus coagulans spores: reported risks?

To date,no adverse side effects have been reported in the scientific literature following supplementation with B. coagulans. Studies confirm it is very well-tolerated and has no mutagenic or genotoxic characteristics (12).

How should Ferula Asafoetida natural extract be taken?

We recommend taking 2 capsules a day, ie, 500mg of Asafin®. Clinical studies have used this same dose (2x250 mg a day).

Please note that this supplement is not recommended for people who are allergic or sensitive to plants from the umbelliferous family.

What is irritable bowel syndrome?

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a benign but debilitating condition of the digestive system thought to affect 10%-15% of the global population. It is characterised by chronic stomach aches and abdominal cramps, impaired intestinal transit and bloating.

A number of theories have been suggested to explain this digestive dysfunction, including problematic intestinal motility and visceral hypersensitivity. However, disruption to microbiota balance, which would make the intestinal barrier more permeable to pro-inflammatory molecules, seems an increasingly plausible explanation (13).

7 simple steps to support your gut health

As well as taking this supplement for your digestive problems, we’d also recommend adopting these 7 measures:

  1. eat slowly and calmly, chewing your food thoroughly, and drinking in between meals;
  2. avoid over-rich food;
  3. don’t lie down after a meal;
  4. take regular, moderate exercise to maintain optimal digestive transit;
  5. minimise alcohol consumption and smoking;
  6. limit your intake of fizzy drinks, coffee and heavily-spiced or acidic foods;
  7. and if symptoms persist, consider keeping a food journal to identify any potential triggers.
