It is the plant's high flavonoid and saponoside content which is responsible for its beneficial effects on the circulatory system.
These are quite specific: maritimeins, mareins and the famous chrysantellin A and B (4). The latter are the most active and are mainly responsible for the effects on microcirculation, though it is thought they all act simultaneously: while playing their specific role, the saponins (surfactant factors) make it easier for the flavonoids to cross the cell membrane.
This product’s capsules are made of pullulan, a natural polysaccharide obtained by fermenting tapioca or corn. Pullulan contains no animal ingredients and provides an excellent barrier to oxygen, helping to preserve the integrity of the capsule’s ingredients. It is also an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic materials.
